A fairy tale come true …. testament to LOVE!!

The tale of the two Marianos …. two stuffed dogs!!!

Horty and Maryjane met in the fall of 1969.

They were both in college.

Horty lived in Puerto Rico and Maryjane was an exchange student from Baltimore, Maryland.

During the early months of their friendship, Horty gave Maryjane a stuffed toy called Mariano.

It was very colorful, bright, shiny and soft.

An item that would really catch your eye.

As the years went by, Horty and Maryjane went their separate ways.

The original Mariano faded, lost his shiny fur and almost all of his color.
It was by sheer luck that Maryjane found another stuffed dog, exactly like the original Mariano!

This second one has felt the effects of the years too.

Both of his eyes are missing but he’s still kinda shiny.

His fur is still soft.

However, they have stayed together throughout all these years.

They have finally found their place in life ….

…. cozily together
…. like their owners!!

Keep in mind when in time this happened …. and this is how old their love is!!

The “Marianos” ….. or their owners??

Stay tuned!!!!

“Our Fairy Tale”

(our favorite song at the time)

Make It with You” is a song written by David Gates and originally recorded by the pop/rock group Bread, of which Gates was a member.

The song first appeared on Bread’s 1970 album On the Waters.

Released as a single in June 1970, it would become the group’s first top ten and only number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in the U.S.,

spending the week of August 22, 1970, at the top spot.

We both are ONE!!
